The Problem
Warmly helps customers identify warm leads who already visit their websites. That means the company must be able to prove strong security and compliance practices to customers. Achieving SOC 2 is therefore more than a nice-to-have, it’s basically required for maintaining trust and being able to continue their day to day business.
Samantha Perkins, Head of People & Business Operations, took the lead on the latest engagement, and is a seasoned operations manager with having owned four SOC 2 audits in the past. Previous audits had been pretty positive but the process timeline comes often with some level of uncertainty. Audit timelines that were expected to take 60 days have stretched to 90 days and, in one case, 120 days. Communication through an additional CISO layer also introduced lag time and made it harder to resolve issues quickly.
Warmly needed an audit partner that could provide a clear process, responsive communication, strong coordination and familiarity with Vanta’s GRC tool, and enough structure to help the team stay ahead of requirements without feeling behind at the end of the audit period.
