The Problem
Lamatic.ai builds agentic AI infrastructure for business-critical environments like banking, insurance, and legal. That means the company needs to prove that its security and compliance practices can meet the expectations of highly regulated customers. For Lamatic.ai, SOC 2 and ISO 27001 were more than badges to put on a website. Achieving compliance with these frameworks was directly connected to customer trust, enterprise readiness, and the ability to sell into financial environments.
Aman Sharma, Founder of Lamatic.ai, had built enterprise SaaS companies before, but this was his first time leading a compliance program for a product that had to operate as a core technology layer. Another goal for Lamatic.ai was to stay lean, since the team had raised a seed round and was intentionally building with a 15-person team, so adding headcount just to manage compliance was not ideal.
Lamatic.ai needed a compliance partner that could work alongside their existing GRC automation vendor Vanta, to keep the process lightweight and optimd for the team. Furthermore it was important to move quickly, help the company mature its security practices all without slowing down product and engineering work.

Unlocked access to bank-grade opportunities: ISO 27001 helped Lamatic.ai accelerate discussions with customers in banking, insurance, and legal where compliance is a prerequisite. Instead of security being a blocker, Lamatic.ai could shift conversations back to its AI capabilities and platform value.

Lamatic.ai originally pursued compliance to unlock revenue and meet customer expectations in a trust-driven market. But these compliance engagements also helped the company become more disciplined and adept in how it handles security and policies.
